Colorado

I love this state! Not much more needs to be said beyond that. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving us a taste of the visual feast that awaits in eternity with you!

Catching Up

Wow! It's been awhile (not that anyone really cares and rushes to read this)! But I have been officially scolded by my hubby for not posting lately. It's inconvenient for him, you see, when he's gone on trips and business friends want to catch up with family life. I'm sorry, honey. I'll do better - but only for you:). So in short, here's the latest.

School: We are FINISHED!! Let the lazy days of summer begin, and drag on! Carrie finished her first year of junior high, Mia, third grade, and little Meg tore up Kindergarten.

Photography: I have the nicest friends in the world, who push me and encourage me in my passions. Obviously, photography is a huge one, and the more I shoot, the more I want to do. How does that tie in with the full time job of teaching the girls? I'm not at all sure. What I really enjoy capturing are the beautiful moments in an ordinary life. Aside from the graduations and weddings, what are those moments we wish we could capture and frame? A friend of mine commented the other day that she wish she would have asked me to come along with her to get her oldest daughter fitted for her ballet point shoes - a two hour process, and for a ballerina, likened to getting the driver's license. I would have loved capturing that! So, do I run with my friends' urging and start a business? Maybe. There is still quite a bit of technical information I want to master and I know NOTHING about marketing. So, while I'm figuring that out (if I can find the time between teaching algebra, helping build models to demonstrate the laws of physics, analyzing the literary elements of Tom Sawyer, and drilling addition and subtraction facts), I think I will continue to do what I'm doing - catch the beautiful moments in my ordinary life and let God open doors from there.
